Pets in the Workplace

To maintain an environment that enables work to be done with minimal distraction and disruption, shows respect and courtesy for co-workers and reduces potential health risk and facility damage, pets may not be brought into the workplace, with the exception of: recognized service animals (animals that are trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities such as guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, etc.), or in connection with an academic purpose.

If an employee has concerns about pets in the workplace, they should contact their immediate supervisor or Human Resources.
