Congratulations to the four newest members of the Public Safety team: PSO Jose Benitez, PSO Dylan Carreiro, PSO Joel Baeza, and PSO David Najarian for graduating from the Rhode Island College and University Public Safety (RICUPS) Academy earlier this summer!
The two-week academy consisted of both wellness and classroom training covering topics such as peer support, substance abuse, mental health first aid, interview and patrol techniques, defense tactics, report writing, and more. Lieutenant Antone Souza was assigned as the Academy Proctor, while Interim Director Anna Brookes and PSO Reginald Packer taught courses.
