Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration Dave Proulx recently announced that, following an extensive search, Renee Byas has been named RISD’s newest General Counsel effective July 1, 2021.
In her capacity as General Counsel, Renee will provide legal services to trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, student leaders, and affiliated entities in connection with their activities on behalf of the institution. In addition to serving as the General Counsel, she will serve as a member of the Cabinet and a staff liaison to the Board of Trustees.
