Fall 2024 Wellness Offerings

We are excited to introduce a series of wellness sessions, in collaboration with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Coastline EAP, and TIAA, designed to support the well-being of our staff and faculty. We invite you to explore the offerings below and take part in this ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy, respectful, and supportive workplace environment.

Virtual Wellness Webinars

Respect and Civility in the Workplace – Coastline EAP

Date: Tuesday, October 15, 2024

Description: Participants learn how to understand and define a respectful workplace, identify any barriers to experiencing respectful workplaces, and tips on respectful communication.

Conflict Resolution – Coastline EAP

Description: This training helps people to understand different types of conflict, the skills needed to have a productive conversation, and how to prepare for the conversation. 

Onsite Wellness

Zumba – BCBS

Date:  Wednesday, September 18, 2024

Time: 12:00-1:00 pm

Location: RISD’s Catanzaro Student Fitness Center

Open to all! No sign up required

Description: A mix of body sculpting moves and dance steps from Latin dance and music. This routine features intervals of cardio and muscle conditioning activity. Participants will be sure to enjoy the opportunity to laugh, move and burn calories to music. 

Chair massages – BCBS

Date: Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Description: Massage chairs offer a convenient way to reduce stress, relieve muscle tension, and promote relaxation, enhancing overall physical and mental well-being.

Yoga – BCBS

Date: Wednesday, November 13, 2024 

Time: 12:00-1:00 pm 

Location: RISD’s Catanzaro Student Fitness Center

Open to all! No sign up needed

Description: Yoga improves strength, flexibility and postural balance. It also may enhance energy levels, concentration and relaxation while reducing mental fatigue. Participants experience a blend of flexibility, training and relaxation to improve fitness and reduce stress.

Participants should bring a floor mat.  

Financial Wellness Sessions

TIAA will be on-site for one on one investment consulting. This is a good opportunity if you are new to investing in the 403b benefit or if you have been contributing for years.
