Last month, RISD Human Resources welcomed our new Compensation and HRIS Analyst Dayna Kingsland to our team! Dayna has worked in Human Resources for the past 11 years, most recently at Meeting Street where she served as their Talent Acquisition Specialist and provided Human Resources Generalist support.
In speaking with Dayna about what she enjoys most about her work, she noted that, “Compensation is both a science and an art—I get to use both sides of my brain! I also strongly believe that when an organization has solid compensation practices, they are able to be fair, ethical, equitable, and inclusive.”
Dayna was eager to join our community, as she believes strongly in the power of expression through art, and is passionate about how it connects humanity.
“I have a background as a musician and I’ve earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. I align with RISD’s philosophy that artists and creative people are capable of critical thinking and problem-solving in the business world.”
