In February 2022, we announced the update of the College’s Respect in the Workplace policy. The expanded policy more fully articulates the expectations for a respectful workplace, and provides examples of respectful and disrespectful behavior, as well as practical options for addressing concerning interactions.
RISD’s commitment to social equity and inclusion compels us to foster a campus culture of inclusion that welcomes difference, promotes student agency, and facilitates shared community-building. Being intentional about how we engage with each other can enrich our professional interactions and foster a more inclusive workplace.
All RISD employees are expected to read and become familiar with the expanded Respect in the Workplace policy and what’s required of each of us to promote a culture of respect and inclusivity.
