By this time, you should be fully aware of your role and responsibilities, beginning to work independently and produce meaningful work. We want you to quickly become acclimated to RISD, both functionally and socially.
Performance Expectations/Job Duties
- Continue to meet regularly with your manager to discuss:
- Progress related to expectations and functions for your position, as well as against any initial assignments
- Feedback and development opportunities
- Acclimation to the role
- RISD’s culture
- Engage in any relevant formal performance management conversations, and finalize goals and expectations for performance.
Policies and Procedures
- Continue to review and familiarize yourself with relevant department and RISD policies and procedures. Seek clarification, as needed.
Community and Culture
- Be sure to check out upcoming events at RISD to learn more about what’s happening around campus.
- Visit some of RISD’s unique facilities, such as the Edna W. Lawrence Nature Lab or Fleet Library, or visit the RISD Store to check out the latest merchandise and products created by RISD alumni.
- Meet informally or over lunch with colleagues and peers to build deeper connections and to learn more about RISD’s opportunities for involvement.
Learning and Development
- Identify and communicate additional training and development needs.
- Consider participating in or register for LinkedIn Learning and RISD Learns/RIHETC sessions (as applicable).
